Over a decade ago, Billy Billiris founded VJB Group, a modest marketing agency located in Sydney. His first clients, Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar and Bay Vista Dessert Bar, took a chance on him at a time when social media was not in fashion, it was a new ’trend’ and a new ‘channel’.

Billy’s approach was different—he thought outside the box. His Facebook ad campaigns for Crust and Bay Vista turned heads and grew into something bigger: guerrilla marketing. The demand increased and the birth of VJB Group was here. The first milestone was hitting 2 million impressions on a Free Pancake Day campaign for Bay Vista as well as growing revenue of over 45% for a local Crust Gourmet Pizza store in Sydney’s South through a comprehensive marketing campaign that included a digital ad strategy as well as a street team which received large coverage from the media.

From humble beginnings, VJB Group grew to a team of twelve, working on thousands of campaigns for clients across the country. Billy stayed grounded, always seeking new ways to innovate and make a difference. His journey left a lasting impact on the marketing world where brands were recognised and kept growing, campaign on campaign. He also brings an extensive event management background to the field, pioneering community events that have raised a collective $3 million dollars for charities including MS Australia, The Gasnier Foundation, Lighthouse & The Brain Cancer Group as well as had attendance of over 60,000 people in a day. His passions include his beloved Canterbury Bulldogs, Olympiakos, actively playing Tennis and spending time with family and friends over a barbecue.
